Welcome to the Power Boat Section
The Power Boat section at Bournville meets throughout the year on Sunday afternoons from 1400 hrs and on Thursday mornings from 0930 hrs, weather permitting. We not only sail our boats but also make it a social occasion with coffee or tea and a good laugh. Club members make every endeavour to encourage members of the public to participate in the boating activities with a view to them joining.
Public liability insurance is required and is provided by club membership. We therefore strongly recommend members of the public to join the club . A visitor may obtain temporary cover by asking a member to sign them in for the day. Electric and steam powered boats are allowed but petrol or methanol driven boats are not permitted on the water. During the summer the club holds its annual R.N.L.I. day where members and visiting clubs display and sail boats to raise funds for this essential service.
